2008 NOA Awards for Best Practice in Outsourcing

The NOA Awards for Best Practice in Outsourcing 2008 came to its climax with a glittering gala dinner in Central London on 23 October. The resounding success of this year’s event firmly establishes the NOA Awards as both the outsourcing industry’s leading gala dinner, as well as the industry’s largest celebration of best practice.
The feedback and the photos evidence the success of the evening – 350 outsourcing professionals holding hands and swaying is surely indicative of everyone having a good time? And more than 150 submissions– both the highest number, and the highest calibre to date – certainly confirms the industry’s commitment to promoting best practice. The categories of awards were broader this year and saw the introduction of a much coveted Award for Academic Achievement – introduced to reflect the NOA’s commitment to research and analysis in outsourcing.
It took our judging panel, a SWAT team of seasoned industry professionals, much head scratching, discussion and analysis to whittle these down to a shortlist, let alone a winner for each category. Competition was stiffer than ever this year, so congratulations to everyone who made the shortlist and those who went on to win!

The 2008 NOA Awards were compered by comedian Dominic Holland who took much glee in the fact that ten minutes earlier the entire audience (predominantly male) was up on its feet holding hands and swaying to “Amore” thanks to a phenomenal rendition by the waiting staff on the night, aka Tenors and Divas Incognito. Dominic gested about the inclusion of a dancefloor and the hire of a DJ, but his merriment was misplaced, when the audience danced through til after 1am.
