About us

As the only outsourcing trade association in the UK, the NOA is the biggest champion of best outsourcing practice in Britain. Formally established as a not for profit company in 1993, the NOA operates as an independent organisation – its principle objective is to boost the effectiveness and success of outsourcing, through the promotion of best practice and innovation in the application and development of outsourcing.

International – the NOA is part of the larger umbrella organisation, the European Outsourcing Association. Currently, the NOA has affiliate organisations in Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. See http://www.e-oa.net

Members – the NOA represents member organisations across the outsourcing industry. Members fall into three main categories:

  • User – UK and overseas companies who engage in outsourcing
  • Suppliers – companies who provide outsourcing services
  • Support services – legal, consultancy and recruitment companies which support the outsourcing industry

The NOA…

  • Communicates the benefits on lessons learned in outsourcing, business process outsourcing,  offshoring, nearshoring etc
  • Delivers information on market developments (benchmarking; contracts; research; tariffs etc)
  • Lobbies government, regulators and the EU on issues affecting its members
